TARA ULTRA OUTDOOR FEST
Tara Ultra Outdoor Fest is an event designed to promote spending time in nature, trail running, hiking, adventure sports, active life, healthy habits and family values. We guide you along the paths of history, culture and tradition, through some of the most beautiful and attractive parts of the Tara National Park and Bajina Bašta. We want to bring outdoor sports and spending time in nature closer to young people and, with interesting ecological workshops, draw their attention to the problem of preserving and protecting the environment.
We will introduce you to the history of the Rača monastery and the Račan transcription school. The presentation of outdoor sports will include rafting on Drina river, training for SUP, hiking and a large outdoor children’s playground.
The fifth edition of the Tara Ultra Outdoor Fest, which will be held on the first weekend of July (Saturday 06.07.2024), awaits you with challenging trails that will take you past numerous attractive places on the most beautiful mountain in Serbia. The center of event is Bajina Bašta, where the competition center and the goal of all races will be.
3 trails are waiting for you: an ultra trail of 62 km (TUT62) and two shorter trails of 28 km (TUT28) and 13 km (TUT12). The middle trail (28k) will be scored as The 3rd round of the PSS National Mountain Running Series, and the shortest course (13k) will be scored as the PSS National Mountain Running Championship for Juniors (and the 2nd round of the PSS National Mountain Running Series).
ITRA certification is carried by TUT 62 – 3 points and TUT 28 – 1 point.

THE BIGGEST OUTDOOR TRAIL RACE IN SERBIA
TARA ULTRA
The start of all races is at the medieval Rača monastery (transport from Bajina Bašta is provided). Two longer trails will lead you uphill to the plateau of Kaludjerske Bare and the Jarevac lake. TUT62 and TUT28 separate at Račanska Šljivovica and Ultra goes over the highest peak of Tara – Zborišta, 1545 meters above sea level, then over the peaks of Iver, Kršanjska glavica and Gavran, past the viewpoints of Osluša and Sokolarica.
The trails (TUT62 and TUT28) meet again on the Sokolina plateau, from where there is a technical descent to the Lađevac waterfall and the Rača river canyon, where they are connecting with the shortest trail. TUT12, the shortest trail, takes you in the first half through attractive grounds around the Rača monastery, and then through the countryside towards Bajina Bašta.
